ESPO has been engaged by Leicestershire County Council to assist in a procurement process to identify and appoint a suitable contractor or contractors to provide residential short break services for disabled children and other eligible young people with severe learning disabilities within the county of Leicestershire. The successful tenderer(s) will need to provide suitable, compliant accommodation for the service and secure all relevant registrations ready for commencement of the contract in July 2012. A 6 year contract is planned (with an option to extend for up to a further 2 years in 12 month increments). A restricted (two – stage) process is being used for this procurement. A bidders event has been scheduled at ESPO for 22.6.2011 where a panel of representatives from Leicestershire County Council, and ESPO will provide further information on the requirement and procurement process, and answer any questions that bidders may have.
