The basic principle of this measured term contract framework agreement is based on a comprehensive pre-priced schedule of rates (NSR / PSA) for elements of work, within the 4 service areas of mechanical, electrical, building and painting/decorating services, to enable a specification for works to be prepared and subsequently carried out to an agreed industry standard and supported by a standard form of contracts’ e.g. JCT, ECC form of contract (previously the NEC) GC/Works/7 contracts may be awarded via formal mini-competitions under the framework agreement for at least two/three years, with extension periods if required, conducted by the Client, often in conjunction with a quantity surveyor. |
